Goodreads Synopsis
Olivia Harren swore she’d never come back to Vow Falls—not after losing the man everyone expected her to marry. But when her aunt needs help at the Book Nook, Olivia returns… and walks straight into the arms of Axel Grant.
The town’s sexy librarian.
Her brother’s best friend.
The man who’s been in love with her for ten years.
Axel made a vow the night Olivia he’d wait as long as it took. Now that she’s home, he’s done waiting. Protective, possessive, and entirely hers—he’s ready to have the woman he’s always seen as his.
But Vow Falls remembers everything… and some people think it’s too soon to move on.
Too bad.
Because Axel’s not asking for permission.

Review
I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher, via BookSirens. This in no way impacted on my view.
Olivia Harren left town when her fiancée was killed in a fire, and she vowed never to return. But it's been a year, and she's back home in Vow Falls to help her aunt in her book shop. However, she's struggling with all of the pitying looks, and can't help wanting to escape again. Axel Grant has been in Olivia's life ever since they were children, and in love with her for the past 10 years. He vowed at the covered bridge that he would always wait for her, and now that she's back, he's not about to lose her again.
Oh, I love the brother's best friend trope so much, and this book dealt with that and grief so well. Axel and Olivia had always danced around each other, but now they were back in the same town, they were ready to take a step together. I felt bad for Olivia, and how she was feeling constantly pitied and judged, but she dealt with it extremely well, and Axel supported her throughout it all.
