Goodreads Synopsis
He's crazy for her...

Vaughn Tucker is the hot playboy drummer of the Tucker Brothers band, whose four albums have all hit number one. Vaughn is drop-dead gorgeous … and completely out of control.

Gigi Hayes’s life is a million miles from packed stadiums and high-profile tour schedules. She’s a small-town girl who spends all her time working in the library and studying to become a qualified social worker. For … reasons.

When Vaughn meets Gigi, for the first time in his life, he's the one who’s star-struck. But Gigi is saving herself for true love. And even though she’s drawn, against her will, to the beautiful, trouble-written-all-over-him superstar, she’s not deluded enough to believe he's capable of such a thing.

Vaughn has already fallen hard. And Gigi’s refusals only make him crazier. She’s an angel and he may as well be the devil himself. But when heaven meets hell, all bets are off …

Review
I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher, via BookSirens. This in no way impacted on my view.

College student Gigi Hayes has always wanted to help others, especially after seeing how her father struggled with addiction. However, she's never met anyone who she needed to help as much as playboy rocker Vaughn Tucker. Vaughn is used to women throwing themselves at him, and he never spends longer than a night with a woman (or two). Feeling guilt over the way he spoke to his parents before their died, he self medicates with drink and drugs, and is becoming out of control. Seeing Gigi for the first time has lit a spark in him like never before, and he'll do whatever it takes to prove he is worthy of her love.

This book was definitely darker than book 1, but not so much so that I didn't enjoy it. Again, I read it in one sitting, and I was so drawn the the visceral connection there was between Vaughn and Gigi. They were true soulmates, and when they were apart, it was like part of them had been ripped out. The twist and angst in the plot was devastating, but worth all the pain it caused in the end. Roll on book 3!
