Roxie
Nate Boone. My brother’s best friend and the country boy I had a serious crush on all those years ago when we were both just kids. A lot has happened since then but a part of me never really moved on. Who am I kidding, all of me never moved on.
And now I’m heading back to Sugar Mountain to see my bestie—Nate’s little sister—and to catch up with the extended Boone family, who have always felt like my own.
What I find is that Nate Boone is allll grown up, hotter than the Tennessee sun, and maybe not quite as forbidden as he used to be…
Nate
Roxie Tucker. No one knows about our history and our connection because I walked away and never looked back. Because she was a hundred percent off-limits.
I haven’t seen her in years, until she shows up out of the blue, so beautiful it hurts. And I now know why I could never fall in love or even think about committing to anyone else. Because they’re not her.
I shouldn’t, of course. She’s like family. And my life is beyond complicated.
But she’s too perfect and the pull is too strong. She breathes life back into me and gives me a taste of something so real I simply can’t resist. I want her. I want everything. She's mine.
So I kiss her again. She’s heaven on earth and I’m a hundred percent addicted. I'm drowning in this girl. I can't find my way up for air and I don’t want to. I’m too far gone to walk away.
Now that I've had a taste of forever, I’ll risk whatever it takes to keep her...

I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher, via BookSirens. This in no way impacted on my view.
Spending their childhood together on the farm, sharing a kiss when Roxie was 15 and Nate 19, they haven’t seen each other since. Even so, both have always known they were made for each other, but the age difference, and Roxie’s overprotective older brothers have always been in the way. Now 8 years later, Roxie is back visiting the farm after a hectic few years, and seeing Nate again has reignited those feelings once more. They’re no longer children, but Nate now has custody of his late best friend’s 6 year old, and Daisy’s aunt is putting up a fight. Is now the right time for Roxie and Nate to finally be together?

Okay, this one is my favourite! It has all the tropes I adore: childhood friends to lovers, best friend’s brother/brother’s best friend, single parent romance, and second chance romance. I knew from how much I’d enjoyed the previous books that this would be good, but it was even better than expectations. Roxie and Nate had always been drawn to each other, even when they were young, spending time on Nate’s family’s farm with all of their siblings. However, the age difference was a big factor in keeping them apart, as was their family’s interfering. The last time they were properly together was the summer Roxie was 15, and she kissed Nate in the hay loft before she chickened out, telling him she loved him too. In the years since, they’ve tried to find happiness elsewhere, but their heart was always left with the other. From the moment in the Boone’s kitchen when Nate and Roxie locked eyes again, it was inevitable that they would move heaven and earth to be together. Adding in the found family aspect of Daisy and how she and Roxie hit it off straight away, the relationship went from 0-60 in the blink of an eye, but well worth it!
