Review
I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher via NetGalley. This in no way impacted on my view.

This book was a dead cute and fast read - perfect for the summer. Vivian is a blogger and Star Trek fan, who adores working with her mam in the local bookstore. She has had a crush on Jake for ages, and over the summer they got close, and kissed. He's now denying anything happened, and giving her the complete brush off. Feeling heartbroken, Vivian now decides that the only people she can crush on are safe bets, those who won't break her heart. Well, enter Dallas. He's cute, nerdy, and perfect for Vivian. She's determined not to let him in, but it seems as if the world is against her, as he is now working at the bookstore, doing tech repair and software development. Their chemistry is so clear that it's hard for readers to cope with how much of a slow burn their romance is.

Vivian is a real character. She's not perfect - in fact she often makes mistakes - but she grows as the book does. Sometimes, I wanted to shake her, but she herself claimed she wasn't perfect, and acknowledged her faults. Her and Dallas really were made for each other, and for a quick summer read, their romance was just what I wanted.

Part of the plot was unnecessary, some parts that I actively disliked, but all in all, an enjoyable book, and I'll probably read more from this author in future.
