Disappointing 2020 Reads
11:00
Hi everyone! Normally I only do the best reads of the year (which will be posted tomorrow), but I decided this year to do a most disappointing books of the year post too. I read approximately 230 books this year, and out of them all, 2 were one star reads, and 4 were only two stars. Let’s see what they are below:
One star books:
- Jack Kerouac Is Dead to Me by Gae Polisner is one of the absolute worst books I've ever had the misfortune of reading, and I only forced myself to finish it because I was part of the blog tour for it. Absolutely hated it!
- Notorious (Rebels of the Ton #1) by Minerva Spencer was a book I DNFed after deciding it wasn't worth reading about a rude, misogynist hero and a bland heroine, where absoltely nothing was happening.

Two star books:
- Destination Anywhere by Sara Barnard was a book initially meant to be published in 2020, but was pushed back to 2021. I was sent an ARC, and wanted to enjoy it so much, but the main character, Peyton, was annoying, and I just had so many problems with the book as a whole.
- To Be Perfectly Honest (Gracie Dart #2) by Jess Vallance is another ARC, but one I only read because I'm wanting to improve my NG ratio. I didn't like the first one, but had already been approved for book 2, so pushed through, and I was just bored, if I'm honest.

- Deception and Desire (MacNaughton Castle Romance #1) by Aubrey Wynne was okay, but there was hardly anything there, and I was just bored. I read this one back in August, and already have forgotten most of it.
- Love, Life, and the List by Kasie West. Normally I love Kasie's books, but I found both the main characters annoying, and most of the characters were lacking something. A disappointing book this time around.
