Journalist Astrid Sinclair meets her best friends in when snowed in at Chicago's O Hare airport, and together they discover that they have all be hurt in love, and they form the Karma Club to get their revenge. Sweet Sienna's heart was broken by NHL player Aiden Carter, and with Astrid's connections, she's perfect for this task. Armed with her all access pass, Astrid takes on the New York Titans, to write an expose on Aiden and twin brother, Blake. She's there to seduce and break Aiden's heart, so why is she drawn to Blake so much?
I'm getting a bit obsessed with hockey romances at the minute, and one with a side of revenge sounded perfect. Astrid had been hurt by her ex, Chase, who she believed made her into the other woman, and she wanted to make Aiden suffer for hurting her friend, Sienna, so much. I really liked the way she managed to get under Aiden's skin, while also infuriating Blake. Blake was the grumpy to Aiden's sunshine, and he saw right through Astrid's act, especially the glasses and shoes. She was much more at home in a good pair of trainers rather than heels, but to try and get Aiden's attention, she did whatever it took. Blake and Astrid's chemistry was off the charts, and I think they might be my favourite couple of the series! I really appreciated how Astrid saw that Aiden was suffering as much as Sienna, and though she felt conflicted over her feelings for Blake taking her away from the revenge plot, she and Blake started planning on how they could get Aiden and Sienna together again, which I can't wait to see in book #4.
