The Fake Out

Goodreads Synopsis
The best way to get back at my horrible ex? Fake date Rory Miller--my ex's rival, the top scorer in pro hockey, and the arrogant, flirtatious hockey player I tutored in high school.
Faking it is fun and addictive, though, and beneath the bad boy swagger, Rory’s sweet, funny, and protective.
He teaches me to skate and spends way too much money on me.
He sleeps in my bed and convinces me to break my just-one-time hookup rule.
He kisses me like it’s real.
And now I wonder if Rory was ever faking it to begin with.

Review
Hazel's just broken up with her awful ex, Connor, and she's ready for revenge. Is there any better way than by making him think she is head over heels in love with his rival, Rory Miller. Rory just happens to be the top scorer and the one person that Connor hates more than anything. But can they remember that the relationship is fake, or will their chemistry become too much to handle?
I adore this book! Hazel and Rory were such a great couple, and Rory fell for her so hard. The fake dating trope is an amazing one, if it's done right, and let me tell you - Stephanie knows how to write it! The humour and banter between the couple was interspersed with the heartwarming and spicy scenes. One minute you'll be laughing, the next you'll have to wipe the grin off your face because they are so sweet. There's one scene in the book which I think will overlap with book 3, and they were like a married couple throughout it all. This couple just might be my favourite, and I need to see more from them in future books!
