Goodreads Synopsis
Anastasia Allen has worked her entire life for a shot at Team USA.

A competitive figure skater since she was five years old, a full college scholarship thanks to her place on the Maple Hills skating team, and a schedule that would make even the most driven person weep, Stassie comes to win.

No exceptions.

Nathan Hawkins has never had a problem he couldn’t solve. As captain of the Maple Hills Titans, he knows the responsibility of keeping the hockey team on the ice rests on his shoulders.

When a misunderstanding results in the two teams sharing a rink, and Anastasia’s partner gets hurt in the aftermath, Nate finds himself swapping his stick for tights, and one scary coach for an even scarier one.

The pair find themselves stuck together in more ways than one, but it’s fine, because Anastasia doesn’t even like hockey players…right?

Review
Ice skater Anastasia Allen has given her all to try and get a place on Team USA. She's been training her whole life, and she's not about to let anything get in her way, especially not the ruggedly handsome captain of the hockey team, Nathan Hawkins. When there's an incident with the hockey team's ice rink, they and the figure skaters are forced to share the ice, and the sparks fly. Ana can't help but find herself drawn to Nate, and when her partner is injured, she convinces Nate to help her practice, and seeing him in tights does more for her than her imagination ever could.

I adore this book! I kept off reading it for a long time, worried that the hype would not live up to expectations, and I'm honestly glad I did wait, because at least I had Wild Fire to read immediately afterwards. Ana and Nate's relationship was the most perfect enemies-to-lovers that I've ever seen, and it was so well written that it honestly felt like a real couple, not simple words on a page. It's not just a romance either - though that is definitely a large part of it. Both Ana and Nate are elites in their sports, set to make solid careers out of their skills, and they are 100% committed to training. Both are headstrong, and that can sometimes cause a bit of drama, but they set each other off in the right way, and really bolster the other when they need the support. There are heavy and hard-hitting moments at times, especially with Ana, but it's dealt with so sensitively. The epilogue was really the icing on the cake, and I honestly need to see more from the pair in the sequels.
