Goodreads Synopsis
Avery’s fortune, life, and loves are on the line in the game that everyone will be talking about.
To inherit billions, all Avery Kylie Grambs has to do is survive a few more weeks living in Hawthorne House. The paparazzi are dogging her every step. Financial pressures are building. Danger is a fact of life. And the only thing getting Avery through it all is the Hawthorne brothers. Her life is intertwined with theirs. She knows their secrets, and they know her.
But as the clock ticks down to the moment when Avery will become the richest teenager on the planet, trouble arrives in the form of a visitor who needs her help—and whose presence in Hawthorne House could change everything. It soon becomes clear that there is one last puzzle to solve, and Avery and the Hawthorne brothers are drawn into a dangerous game against an unknown and powerful player.
Secrets upon secrets. Riddles upon riddles. In this game, there are hearts and lives at stake—and there is nothing more Hawthorne than winning.

Review
I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher. This in no way impacted on my view.
Finally, Avery Grambs is close to fulfilling all the requirements of her inheritance of the Hawthorne fortune. Turning 18, and having access to such wealth, should be a great thing, but the danger has come closer, and she will have to rely on her intellect, and the support of the Hawthorne brothers, to save those she loves, and protect herself from a greater danger than she had ever faced. And as a new visitor appears at the gates to the estate, claiming she needs help and that Toby sent her, Avery's instincts are telling her not to trust anyone.
I simply adore this series, so being offered the chance to take part in the tour for The Final Gambit was like a dream come true. I'm going to start off by saying I had extremely high hopes for this book, and Jen did not disappoint one bit. I devoured the majority of the book in one train journey recently, and I'm just astounded by how perfect the plot was. There were twists and turns abound, and just when it seemed all was lost (a few times really), Avery and the gang found a way out. Nothing seemed ridiculous either, it was so well thought out and plotted. Avery's growth from the moment we met her in The Inheritance Games to the final pages of this book was perfect for her as a character, and I honestly could not have asked for a better ending. All the many loose ends were tied up - even the ones we hadn't thought about - and Avery's place at the end was just what I wanted. A truly perfect ending, and I can't wait for Jen's next book!
