Goodreads Synopsis
Opposites become allies to fool their matchmaking friends in this swoony reimagining of Shakespeare’s beloved comedy, Much Ado About Nothing.

Jamie Westenberg and Bea Wilmot have nothing in common except a meet-disaster and the mutual understanding that they couldn't be more wrong for each other. But when the people closest to them play Cupid and trick them into going on a date, Jamie and Bea realize they have something else in common after all—an undeniable need for revenge.

Soon their plan is in place: Fake date obnoxiously and convince the meddlers they’re madly in love. Then, break up spectacularly and dash their hopes, putting an end to the matchmaking madness once and for all.

To convince everyone that they’ve fallen for each other, Jamie and Bea will have to nail the performance of their lives. But as their final act nears and playing lovers becomes easier than not, they begin to wonder, what if Cupid’s arrow wasn’t so off the mark? And what if two wrongs do make a right?

Review
When Jamie Westenberg and Bea Wilmot meet at the behest of their friend's and family, it's love at first hate. They are so completely different from each other: Jamie, a paediatrician and Bea, an erotic artist. There's nothing in common between them, and yes, they might be lusting after each other, but that doesn't mean anything. Decided to get their own back on their matchmaking friends, Jamie and Bea agree to pretend to date and fall madly in love with each other. However, neither seem to be very good at pretending.

This was the first Chloe Liese book I read, and it made me fall in love with her writing so much! Bea and Jamie were such great main characters, and the snarky banter they had between them was just a dream to read. After Bea's twin Jules gets engaged to Jamie's roommate Jean Claude, the newly engaged couple want to be matchmakers, and contrive so many different reasons for Jamie and Bea to be in the same place. Seeing them get over their instant dislike or each other to and together for revenge was so on point for their characters, and fitting with the source material. The representation in this book was second to none, and I loved how real and honest Bea's autism was portrayed. Jamie was so caring and loving towards her, even when he still thought he disliked Bea, and their moved from hatred, to friendship, to love, worked perfectly! I can't wait to see how Bea's sisters find love in the future books!
