Goodreads Summary
Jodie Lynn Zdrok's Sensational is the thrilling follow-up to Spectacle in which a killer haunts the Paris World's Fair of 1889.

The 1889 Exposition Universelle in Paris is full of innovations, cultural displays, and inventions. Millions of visitors attend over the course of several months...so no one would notice if a few were missing, right? Maybe—but someone is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the guillotine with a display of their own: beheaded victims in some of the Exposition's most popular exhibits.

Nathalie Baudin’s ability to see murder scenes should help, but she's suffering the effects of her magic more than ever before. Fortunately she has other Insightfuls to team up with—if they can be trusted.

Review
I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher via NetGalley. This in no way impacted on my view.

In Sensational, Nathalie Baudin has accepted the truth about her Insightful status, and now works alongside other Insightfuls to assist the police in investigating crimes, and murders. With her friends, and new beau, by her side, she can overcome just about everything. But when the 1889 Exposition Universelle in Paris is wracked by a number of murders on it's site, and the killer seems to be closer to home than ever, can Nathalie survive it all?

I liked this book, okay, but didn't love it. After the mystery and magic of book 1, I had high hopes, and for the most part they were met. However, I feel like there were parts missing from the story, and Nathalie's character has changed a little too much. The mystery definitely was worth it, and I enjoyed meeting some new characters. Nathalie's own challenge with her powers, and there after effects, definitely was a plus, but the ending was a bit of a let down. I just think there was so much more this book had to give, and it wasn't developed as much as it could've been.
