Hat Trick for Her Heart
Series: None
Author: Dineen Miller
Published February 25th 2026 by Vinci Books
Goodreads Synopsis
I was supposed to be focused on hockey—training, drills, and proving myself on the ice. Not getting distracted by the girl watching from the sidelines.
But the moment I see her, I’m done for. She’s not here for me—just tagging along while her friend interviews the new team owner. Still, from the second our eyes meet, I know I need more than just one conversation.
She doesn’t know it yet, but I’m already planning my hat trick:
1. Make her laugh.
2. Get her number.
3. Convince her this isn’t just a summer fling.
Scoring goals is my job. But winning her heart? That might be my biggest challenge yet.

Review
I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher, via BookSirens. This in no way impacted on my view.
Ethan McKennan is more than happy playing for the Florida Sun Kings hockey team, but when a beautiful woman turns up to practice one day, he vows to make her laugh, and get her number in the long run. Mia Popovic is only at the rink today to help her friend get photos for her article, and is more at home in a classroom full of second graders than rink side. Even so, she is drawn to Ethan, and against her better judgement leaves her number on the glass for him to find. Will they be able to get over their differing careers, or are they too different?
Hat Trick for Her Heart is a a really quick and enjoyable hockey romance. Ethan and Mia were such a cute couple, though their story was not without it's difficulties. At times, it seemed as if the world was against them, with dead phones, broken down cars, and potential state moves in the mix, but they did it all together, and it was well worth all of the effort.
